Just wondering how think (guage) the metal for the frame, floor boards, and body panels are on ea81 cars. I'm about to undertake what some say is futile, but I don't care. If you have the info or even an educated guess please post it up. I DO NOT want all the junk it and get another BS.

Haven't actually measured for gauge, but I'm thinking, just from cutting up a couple vehicles,

 

Body skin = 20 gauge

 

Floorpan and frame rails = 18 gauge

 

Some areas of the framerails are multiple-layered, mainly between engine x-member and tranny x-member.

 

Tranny tunnel is double-layered at the forward section
