Oil Sensor leak DOHC 2.5 FIX?

Featured Replies

Hi all!

I think it's my oil pressure sensor? It sits on top of the engine up front (as looking from the hood ) to the left. It has oil all over it. Is it an easy fix? Just tighten it up? If so how? It's a 1997 GT Lgcy with 2.5 DOHC.

Many thanks, Ted

Replace it. This is a failure mode for these kind of sensors. Subaru sensors are fairly robust, but there is always one :). The body actually works its way loose from the crimp with time ( i used to test these buggers for a living)

You can go aftermarket with this one if you want, but if the original has lasted this long, i would replace it with OE.
