May 8, 200718 yr Its to support your spare tire (has nothing to do with bracing the strut towers... way too thin of material for that) I love it when people admire my strut tower brace.. depending on who it is, I do not always tell them that its WAYY to flimsy to brace anything. Sometimes its fun to let the wool stay over someones eyes
