December 1, 200322 yr i was wondering pros/cons rigging up a switch so i can run both fillaments in the headlight. in my 88gl, i can hold the headlight selector switch in just the right spot and turn on both highs and lows. i love the way it illuminates. it throws the long and the short. would this get too hot or blow the bulb or something?
December 1, 200322 yr my soob, when its cold, the dimmer switch sticks and both lights are on.. I love it too.. I've ran my car like that for aobut 2 hours with both filaments on and they bulbs were fine.. Might work for you, might not.. Lemme know what happens
December 2, 200322 yr do a google on Jacobs Electronics website...i'm not sure of the address... they have a kit that sends all battery voltage to the headlights instead of running it thru the switch. makes 'em a whole bunch brighter. it's just a relay that you tie in to the circuit, but they've done all the thinking... and no, it won't hurt yer bulbs to have both beams on at the same time. the low beam filament, though lower wattage, is just aimed in the bulb differently. less efficient than the high.
December 2, 200322 yr I would also be interested in this but i was looking at that wb site http://www.jacobselectronics.com/Default.htm and cant find what we want. Help maybe:cornfuzz:
