nathan_d Posted June 18, 2007 Share Posted June 18, 2007 so i had everything on my brat for my lift and am putting the lower ball joint back in and the strut on the driver side of my brat will not compress... any ideas? do i just need to bite the bullet and buy a set of new ones? or did it spin and lock or something? 86BRATMAN Posted June 18, 2007 Share Posted June 18, 2007 I would assume it would, I've changed ball joints by the jack method and it compresses the spring. When I changed out the struts on them. I'd leave the ball joint in, remove the strut from the knuckle, and disconnect the sway bar on that side to let it drop the lca more, bolt the strut to the tower and work it into the hole on the knuckle.
