August 5, 200718 yr I was wondering if there has been an ea82 conversion done, is it possible? Thanks Brian
August 5, 200718 yr HOLY CRAP I HAVE NEVER SEEN SOMEONE POST IN THIS!!!!! well, I know people love to do WRX swaps, and some have done Ej257 swaps, so it is definatly possible, but then again, it may be difficult.
August 6, 200718 yr The early Vanagon conversions were EA81 and ea82 but they didnt prove to be as much of an improvement as the Ej22 over the Wasserboxer.
August 7, 200718 yr Correction: they were more reliable but still short on power where the wasserboxer was neither reliable or powerful
August 7, 200718 yr Author well good to know. My grandpa has a an 83 vanagon and needs some more gusto for going up hills and such. My grand parents like to travel with it and want something reliable. Thanks, Brian
August 8, 200718 yr On a different note... At my Voc tech school (EVIT) someone in the staff owns an orange transporter, there fairly rare arnt they?
August 9, 200718 yr On a different note... At my Voc tech school (EVIT) someone in the staff owns an orange transporter, there fairly rare arnt they? The truck models are VERY rare in the USA. Technically anything of the chassis that the Vanagon and truck/crew cab are built on is a "transporter" but I know what you mean.
August 10, 200718 yr Ok thanks, it looks ***************in but I have never seen it move, it is always in the same spot every single day... and I even get their at about 7:20 every day and class doesnt start untill 8:05, so either its a member of staff who gets there uber early or it is someones and they just leave it there, its looks to be in super perfection as far as condition goes, I wonder if they know how rare they are... Ill give him 50 bucks for it how sweet would that be!!!
