August 24, 200718 yr Author so fresh n so clean member the little porsche engine in it? i made uh oh :weirdo: oh noez :hsrun: bye bye dash dun dun dun!!! lol old new!! yay i got my new engine lift :eek9:
August 24, 200718 yr Author had to re angle the engine cause one of the chain links broke and almost ************ed up the engine and my whole front clip :eh: and while manuvering it in the bay, ran into some clerance issues just as i predicted. so off with the tire holder when i get my hands on a grinder!!!! along with a few other misc ************ lol all these went for over 900 all togeather and i got one more semi used set in the garage turbo 400 with manual valve body :eek9: need i say more? its always good to have new tools  no one seemed to mind when i litterally walked into the store, put these on my hands and walked out picked up this big bad boy from the pawn shop. this *************** moves! compliments of autozone. cost me nothing, litterally(rewards card ftw) before i even attempted to lay hands on the car there she sits, the main area of my engine bay needing attention. then as i took more pictures, thoughts started running through my head. these are brackets of where my old ac unit, horn, and some random bracket that had no purpose what so ever. so off they go! some of these are the brackets for my distributor, coil pack, and what not. but hey what the hell, ill make new mounts :thumb: these ************ers are gonna need to come off either way so ill take em off too lol.(cv axles) you would think that such an old car like this wouldn't have this much of a harness, but i was sadly mistaken stock fuel pump mounting bracket all the areas shaded in red are holes that are going to be of no use to me any more and have rubber grommets filling the holes. so i opted to grind them down, weld them up, and smooth them out. same as for here, areas shaded in red are most likely where the mounts are going to go, and i will cut sround the brackets to fit around the screws. or i may cut holes into the brackets to put the screws into this is going to have to be relocated due to cutting concerns as well as wanting to have a clean engine bay :eek9:
August 24, 200718 yr Author same explination as last picture but only facing the front in engine bay view its ************ing amazing what 2 shop rags, a towel, a spray bottle of soap and water and another spray bottle of water will do. this is going to have to be enlarged so the turbo 400 will be able to fit in this is mainly the area that needs to be cut. the mid area where the holes in the previous picture and back is not really an area of concern right now. it will be when i need to mount the ratchet shifter. no more clutter and this is by far the best mixture that any one can ask for while working my next area of concern after i get all that ************ above taken care of :eek9: just a lil positioning and she fit right in! only concern is the rear where the trans will connect. its gonna be a hell of a lot bigger hole than i thought it would be :gonk: but other than that the front seems to have enough room lol. im thinkin after i attach some other parts like the harmonic balancer, water pump, and a few other things, ill see if i will be able to put the hood on it lol. but im thinkin i will make a new oil pan to drop it down some more and push it forward some more
August 25, 200718 yr Wow, just wow!. I'll be interested to see this as things progress along a bit. You sure do have your work cut out for you.
