1997 Legacy gt 2.5 Fuel Gauge Problem

My 1997 Subaru Legacy gt sedan when i run about 100 miles the fuel gauge goes to E. i fill her up and only takes 6 or so gallons. Is this a gauge problem or sending Unit. Being AWD is there one sending unit or 2?

DO a search. Lots of threads on this. Its a sender problem. By a can of techron that usually helps a lot.
