cd45
I replaced the rear brakes today. I put the old ones from my GL wagon. The ole ones on the Brat were due replacement. Before I started, I had no pedal, after I got done, I still had no pedal. Even after I bled all four corners. I have decided that the problem lies in the master cylinder. There is also a lot of play in the rear drivers side axle, a little over 1/2" of movement in and out. I am going to replace both sides, and the rear bearings at the same time. I also found out why the engine was overheating, there is a leak in the radiator. I let it run long enough to get totally warmed up. I opened the hood and there was antifreeze shooting out across the engine. I will be buying a different part every pay day. I will have it on the road in about two months. I will also be doing the rust repair between the other repairs. I will post more pics as repairs and painting are done. I also plan to repaint the topper. Can anyone tell me where I can get a new Brat vinyl? I am thinking of repainting, and replacing the vinyl behind the cab.
cobcob
I believe that McBrat has been known to reproduce those BRAT decals, although I am not sure how easy/cheap they are...
