October 22, 200718 yr Is there a differance in the replacement of drive belts in a 89 Loyale and a 92 Loyale, both have carburators and AC units? the reason I ask is that I had both belts replaced in the 89 and now got a bid to replace both in the 92 and the price is about three times more for the 92. Thanks guys for any input.
October 22, 200718 yr Should be the same. Call a couple more shops. Also, these should both be fuel-injected - not carbureted (sp?). Also, this should be in the Old Gen...New Gen is Legacy, Baja, Forester, Impreza, SVX, WRX, STI, Tribeca....

A timing belt (thread title) is an entirely diffferent job than "drive" (accessory) belts. Maybe the shops have the 2 confused.
