92 Loyale run's ruff and hard to explane.

Featured Replies

Alright last week my mom had to take my car to work for 3 days. And i noticed that during and since.. My car runs ruff.. Heres the simptoms..

At cold start in 60's it will go to about 1800-2000RPM. I know thats normall.. But you can feel something strange??

And at once the RPM drops to 1000-500 RPM it starts running ruff. The Tech will vibrate at 500-600RPM and sometimes it go's blaaa-blup now and then?

But i have power and have no problem getting up to speed... So whats going on? I have new Cap, Rotor, Plugs (Bosh plantnums), O2 sensor, Wires, Fuel filter (Beck/Arnly), And all of that only has 540miles on it... So any ideas? If you need me to explane it better just ask:)

You know, I was thinking about that.. Since my belts are old and the way my mom drives....

SO..... When i do my T-belt job real soon what should i do and how would i know??

when you pull the covers and you can see the belts and marks usea wherench and breaker bar to turn the engine over so they should be lined up and if they arnt then there you go.

Alright i'll keep that in mind. Now if my dad ever wants to help me with this...

I'd ditch the Bosch plugs for some NGK's. Don't skimp on the wires either.

Yeah i've been meaning to get some NGK's!! I'll buy some this week.. And as for the wires, Yeah i've got some cheep ones... I dident know any better.. I was 15.....

well, i'd replace the wires and plugs, as these cars are extremely finicky when it comes to plugs and wires. again, do a search of this board (old gen) for plugs and wires, and that should point you in the right direction.

Well I searched and searched and could not find anything talking about what plug wires are good to use?? Does anyone have some recomendations?

u know i couldnt agree with him more. i had some bosch plugs and wires my brother bought for the car and gave them to me when he sold it to me. i put them in it ran better but not great. i read on here about the ngk plugs and wires so i ditched those and put on all ngk. wow talk about a difference. im not talking yellow paint hp but it did run alot better. i still need to do cap, rotor, fuel filter.
