October 23, 200718 yr All I had to do is get a lead from ShawnW about some lady who was selling a bunch of old Subaru parts. She lives out in the middle of nowhere on a horse farm. Turns out she loves her old 82 wagon that is rusting out from under her, but runs like a top.... and its WEBERIZED! There are a couple of old 'rus on the property, along with a semi trailer full of random subaru "pull n' pay" goodies! Engines, tail lights, thrid eyes, dash, grills, Weber carbs, etc. Yeah, it was the dream barn. Jerry, Shawn, and I didn't know what to do with ourselves. So anyway, back to getting the Colonel running; all I had to do was drive an old rusty Weberized wagon back to the city, tear out the working motor in both the Colonel and the rust bucket, swap the rust bucket motor into the Colonel... and trade her a Colonel for a really cool 85 BRAT! Ring-ring-ring-ring-ring, banana phone!

October 24, 200718 yr Steal my new wheels from parts car and crush it. Yes but before all of that do you want to try and chop the top down about 4 inches and add some wire spoke daytons on it just for laughs?
October 24, 200718 yr Author ...just for laughs? It is too bad you had to leave early Monday, Jerry. You missed out on the crash-up derby at the end of the night.
