I have 87' GL wagon 4wd 1.8L with a push button for engaging 4wd. Is my wagon single or dual range 4wd? If it is single range is that hi or lo?

I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

The D/R 5- & 4-SPD's are all MANUAL gearboxes; 4WD Autos are S/R (single range) if they aren't FT4WD (AWD).

if it's dual range you'll have a huge extra lever next to you in the center console, you can not miss it. sounds like you have a single range trans, with "high" range.

 

 

EDIT - HA i completely missed that it's an automatic! nice hit, yeah there are no dual range automatics in your vehicle.
