December 14, 200322 yr Is the firing order different from a turbo to a standard n/a? I'm trying to put it togethor tonight with Austin and I... (also Patti) Thanks in advance.
December 14, 200322 yr Author Cool thanks... Now to figure whats wrong with it... Why it won't start.:boohoo:
December 14, 200322 yr if you can rotate the crank by hand, try to get Cyl#1 at TDC... then look at the disty, and make sure the rotor is pointing at Cyl #1. That will let you know if the disty is correct. have you verified to make sure your getting a strong spark at the plugs? -Brian
December 16, 200322 yr I'd be willing to bet that all 4cyl Subarus (boxers) have the same firing order. I worked it out one time, and there are only two physically possible firing orders for a horizontally opposed 4 cylinder engine: 1-3-2-4 and its reverse 1-4-2-3. Anything else would require all of the pistons to move the same direction at the same time, and that would NOT make for a very smooth engine!!
December 16, 200322 yr it would be like a harley, dual exhaust POTATO POTATO it will sound like when it runs
