ABS codes website? Antilock brakes

Featured Replies

Hi,

On my 2001 Forester, I found the black ABS connector above the brake pedal, I stuck the nearby black ground wire into the lower right hole, and I have read out the codes. What I need now is a website that describes what each code means. Does anyone know of a website I can go to to find this out? I believe my codes were: 23, 24, 27. Thx for any help. And thx to Porcupine for telling me how to get the codes using the connector.

For the codes you mentioned, see attached. I'd suggest checking the resistance of those wheel sensors; they're typically around 1.2-1.3 kohms.

Many thanks for the code chart. Is there a website that has all of the codes? Seems hard to find. Where did you get those codes?

thx.

You're welcome. Check your Private Messages.

How exactly do you "read" the codes? Would these also apply to my '96 OBW 2.2l 5sp once I know that?

My ABS light is on as well and trying to figure out what to look at.

Thanks,

Josh
