I am looking at a 97 legacy with 222k on it and some engine issues. Is that year an interferance engine? It seems that the seller had new HG's put on it and then the timing belt tensioner failed. The mechanic is now saying that it bent valves, so I wanted to know what kind of engine it has. It is an EJ22, but is it interferace or not?
