xoomer
Gosh Darnit, I get one problem fixed and another one shows up!!..... I've done... Suspension conversion... (gonna do Another one) T-belts/Water Pump Tune up. Fuel pump. Drop tank and clean... Fix the Speedometer/gas guage/voltage guage. now.... Needs to be done... Front brakes. 5/10% Alternator is Weak. (when I have heat on it drops below 12.. Drain and Fill Transmission/diff Replace rear bumper. Fix rust through in trunk. fix Cooling Fans... So, on the alternator, that is my next goal. while driving it seems to do fine but when idleing it drops below 12 with the brake lights on (is my alternator going to need to be replaced or can it wait? Skip
it will be assumed with all the work you have done that 1) all battery cables their connectors have all been cleaned 2) the Alt. output lead to the fusible links is in good condition where it meets the links 3) the belt is tight and in good condition. correct? xt6_4_life
I would say just start off by looking at your wire connections on the alternator. if i could find what i did with my camera i would show you how bad mine look. turns out i was always getting a really weak charge. Finally decided to investigate and found that one of the plugs was incredibly coroded and the plastic connector itself was shattered..
