February 15, 200818 yr I read in another post that an EA82 sway bar will fit an EA81. Is this a direct bolt in? Also will I be able to pull a rear sway bar off of any EA82 or does it have to be a sedan? The reason i ask is the local JY has a early 90s loyale 4w4 wagon in there and i wonder if its got a rear sway bar that would help out my cars handling.
February 15, 200818 yr I have the parts, and the tools to do this, but have yet to make it happen. From what I understand, you must weld new anti-roll bar mounts to the rear semi-trailing arms. Your other option is to modify EA82 rear trailing arms to fit the EA81. In any case, the bar must be narrowed some how. Weather this means bending or trimming the ends, I'm not sure yet. I haven't actually put the bar up there when the car is on stands. The mounts are pretty simple. Get some square tubing one inch wide, cut it in half and then put a groove..... Pictures are worth 1,000 words. Check my photos.
February 15, 200818 yr Author oh ok thats more work than i was hoping for lol. I dont have any welding experience or a welder so a rear swaybar is out of the question for now at least.
