Strange email

Featured Replies

I got this email from a lady I sold parts to asking me to help solve her dilemma.

how about a MAF sensor?

and~

the subaru i bought friday ran fine home to lakes region from manchester. next day, started shifting wrong~(auto) and check engine light on. well, no codes showing for O2 sensors...my mechanic is thinking EFI system or MAF sensor...or both, one relying on other...etc. this is a concern, but a more bizarre thing happened right @ 5pm when he backed it out of the garage. i was in the car too, he turned it off, pulled out the key and some dash lights stayed on.

ever hear of such a thing?

sorry to bug you~

i really am wondering about a MAF sensor from you~

mine is a 2.5 engine~97 legacy outback

thanks again~

every older subaru i called about(95 and older, if you know what i mean~i didn't want to have to jump through any emissions hoops) all were already sold. so i settled for a newer,,,and am starting to regret it.

Anybody have any Ideas???

Need more specifics, mainly what were the code numbers read? What dash lights stayed on? Elaborate on shifting wrong?

Bad engine grounds, the one to the starter , thetwo on the intake manifold .

Check them out
