  1. This is just my opinion but as a current Loyale owner I can think of several better options for that amount.
  2. The EGR I was given was from a 97 Leg and I turned out that the hose size was 1/8 as opposed to the 1/4 of the Loyale's. I took your advice and just deleted the EGR all together. There's no emissions requirements in NH for pre ODBII vehicle's.
  3. I have a 93 Loyale sedan auto (unfortunately) that I would love to trade it for a 5 speed wagon. Has anybody here tired part no.14774AA341-90's Legacy Egr as a replacement?
  4. I heard a buzzing noise coming from the trunk of my 93 Loyale sedan the other day. I popped the trunk to find smoke coming from the control unit bolted to the back window deck. So I have a three part question. 1) What pins do I jump to return my drivers side seatbelt back top the rear position? 2) What does this unit have to do with my clock and radio which both stopped working? 3) Who has one they would like to donate? I'll pay shipping of course!
  5. I’m hoping for a minor miracle! I had a friend Tom that had a “Subaru expert” that did some work on one of my old Loyales about ten years ago(oil pump, seals, and timing belts). Tom has lost his info and I have a Loyale that I would love to have some work done on. I don’t know his name but I kind of remember the house he was at. I want to say it was light blue with a one car garage attached in Manchester, NH. He always had 3 or 4 Subaru’s for sale and parts galore. Anybody know who I’m speaking of?
  6. I've got this same problem with my 97 leg wagon 2.2 Looks like its safe to say you needed a new maf.
  7. This maybe a dumb question but I found an open recall on my car. WXI66 Open Throttle Body Assemblies I don't live near the original dealer anymore can I take it to any Subaru dealer to have this recall fixed?
  8. The Subaru part # is 21067GA050 for my 97 leg wagon. I got mine at Napa.
  9. I would just change it out. I've done both of mine twice. Once with axel change and again when I put in a tranny. Their only about $20 I don't know about your luck but if I didn't replace them I would need to a month later.
  10. I got a junk yard caliper with bracket for $25. Rusty as all hell but the pins slide right out. Should be good to go. Thanks for all the help!
  11. Unfortunately I don't think any tapping is going to work. I put a wood block up against it and pounded away and nothing. Ive already burn the boot off so I'll end up getting new pin and boot. So I'm not looking to be nice I just need it out.
  12. I cant seem to get the damn bottom slider pin out. I've tried hammers, heat, wrenches and all it will do is spin now. I was just going to get a new caliper support bracket but after my last post seems this is a common problem. So I'm hoping for a common solution. FYI 97 Leg 14 inch wheels.
  13. It was the bottom slider. I thought for sure I checked them all. It's froze right up. I tried everything to get it free including a torch! So the search begins for a caliper support bracket. Thanks for the help!
  14. Yesterday I went a bought two new front rotors and some ceramic pads. I got the at a local place Robbins. I had a warped one on the pass side of my 97 leg wag. So I install, clean and grease everything put it all back together and take it for a ride. I put my summer tire back on at the same time so when I stopped to adjust the air pressure I see smoke and smell my brand new pads. I go home take it all back apart to see wtf and find that only one half of one pad is worn. So I check my single piston caliper and it's fine. I was the outer pad that was rubbing. So I reinstall and as I do I notice that when I tighten my lugs I loose the little play that I have in my wheel. Bad rotor?? What else could it be??
  15. I got this same code a few weeks ago after washing the motor to clean out coolant from a head gasket change. I thought the worse and post on here. If you search theres more threads about the PO code. I cleared mine and (with fingers crossed) it hasn't come back. So I would suggest just clearing it.
