87 rx axle part number please

Featured Replies

87 rx axle part number please. I need the part number for the front pass side axle.

No clue.

Your car being AWD will put less stress on the front axles so you shouldnt have as many problems as the FWD guys.

If you goto any other auto parts store, you need to make sure you get CV joints for a turbo 5spd Subaru... any year 1987 to 1989 should work. There is a difference, non turbo subaru's have a 23 spline output on the transmission where the turbo subarus have a 25 spline output.

Left and right do not matter. Front & rear do matter.

might i add to junkies post

front axles are different than rear axles. all ea82 rear axles are 23 splines, regardless of model

turbo 5spds are 25 splines. full time automatics are 25 splines

BUT turbo 3spds are 23 splines

left or right side does not matter as stated by junkie

if your parts counter man seems incompetent, any turbo 5spd will do if the rx is not listed specifically.

just make sure the axle in the box is the right one since sometimes they can be listed correctly, but packaged wrong

otherwise to default, look up a 89 gl-10, because either the auto or 5spd for that model will be the correct axle
