Buggyroo front springs

Featured Replies

What springs should i use to replace the Wagon springs in front of the buggy? Hatch springs? Bratt springs? Any thoughts. It dosent have much front flex......if any at all.

they are all pretty much the same strut... i've had them from various apps. and never noticed a difference.

Dang.....I might have to get creative with other coil springs.

My brat ran rear EA82 springs up front and would bottom and top out the shockers. Only got 4 inches of travel and my shocks were Monroe aftermarket with a little more travel then my brothers standard struts.

Wait....did you just say rear springs up front?

Yes, I used the EA82 rear springs up front, it sat a little higher and a little stiffer then standard. I just drilled out the top hats to fit the front shockers shaft. Plan was to get more room so I could move the strut inwards for camber adjustent. But the swivel at the top was still the standard one and wouldn't move more then about 3mm with the 2" lift I had.

My "that would be a bad idea thought".....

What if i took an angle grinder and "shaved" off some metal all around the outside of the coil spring. Possibly softer spring? Or could that potentally cause the spring to lose its springeyness?

Angle grinder = HEAT (unless you go r e a l l y slow)
