Does anyone know of a source for rain gutters for legecy's? I haven't seen a soob with rain gutters in my travels. They sure could us em.

i could have sworn i saw them on a JDM legacy wagon which was 2nd gen.....but so far all i can seem to find are rain guards which fit M/Y 2000 and up.....also i dont really see how it is possible because there is no window frame....maybe theres a way around it......

For those that have these, do they help with the wind noise from the frameless windows? I like the look of the frameless windows...I hate the sound.

I need Impreza rain thingies, and of course the mentioned website doesn't sell them... I was soooo used to opening my window in my S-10 in any weather! They were the very first accessory I bought for that truck. Not fair I can't get them for my Imp!

Ive got the little rain gaurds on my wagon - personally i dont think they do anything, is nice to roll the window down a bit in the wet tho.

 

My '97 had no gaurds and very little wind noise. I dont see them on many Imprezas....if any....and almost ALL of the cars here are JDM.

Umbrella? Riiight. Real Puget Sounders don't OWN no stinkin' brollies, we're used to the wet! :-p We just like to have our boats on the water, not on the freeway. So no wet car interiors for us!

 

As for the rain gutters: First I thought, Yea!

 

Then I re-read the post. I have a 97 Imp. Tried the website anyway. I don't know if the vendor changed their website, or that they just went under, but when you try the links in the NASIOC post you get some brokerage firm... waaaah...

 

Guess I'll just have to get used to turning on the vent for air.

Hmm, I'd like to go for a set but I'm unclear about how they'd successfully fit on a Sube. Since Subie's have no door channels around the side windows, the gutters would have to be attached to the car's body/roof above the windows, no?

Then how would the window, when fully closed, clear the gutter when opening a door? The gutters seem to curve over the top and front edge of the windows. Or do the closed windows actually clear the gutters when a door is opened?

Or if the gutters install on the doors (hard to believe THAT), how could they stay securely attached???

Would someone please explain, draw me a picture or otherwise enlighten me?:-\

double sided tape - glued on with the tape. Sort of make sit difficult to change it but...

I'm willing to make a gasket drill holes in the roof and screw em down. I'm a lot bigger on function then looks. I'd even install just one for the driverside. If it works it looks just fine to me. I'll be going for it.

The sound is probably coming from the area around your mirror, not the window itself.
