We've got an '02 Outback and are looking for a mechanic who'll provide competent service at a reasonable price in (preferably) the northwest part of Seattle. Any recommendations?

Another vote for Smart Service. You may call them and find they're a few dollars more than some shops, but the work they do is good and they stand by what they do! Worth the money for the warranty on their work alone. If aircraft-engineer hadn't been able to do the work I needed, I'd have taken Dragon there in a heartbeat, no qualms.
