]-----[ this close to new clutch and drivability

Featured Replies

i pulled my first engine ever today. came outta my 88gl wagon. it took me 5 1/2 hours to pull the engine and the clutch. boy does it feel satisfying. i did this all by myself and i am NO mechanic. the only problem i came across was the motor mount on the disty side. i mistakenly thought that i had to take it off from the top like on the other side. i fiddled with that for maybe 45 min., give or take. it's amazing how small the engine and bay looked when it was finally out. i'm gonna try to find somewhere to resurface the flywheel tomorrow. i don't figure that anyone will be open , so i'll probably have the clutch installed by monday night. more than likely i'll be back on the road tuesday or wednesday depending on my work schedule.

i just had to tell somebody. it really makes that Subaru bug burrow deeper.:D

a subaru is the easiest motor to pull, and install. its a great one to start on. nothing like a side winder or some massive v8.
