just had a quick question.....was the 93' impreza ej18 ever offered in an 8 valve model?....

 

just another quick question....my boss bought a 98 legacy outback limited and long story short he had to get another engine but used the same intake manifold.....was this model ever offered with a 2.2?.....it looks as though he has a 2.2 intake manifold on a JDM 2.5? how im noticing this is that his idle air control is not integrated in the throttle body.....he has the same IAC as i have on my ej22......was the USDM 2.5 ever offered with an IAC not integrated into the throttle body?

 

he has it all straightened out but i was just wondering....a little knowledge never hurt anybody.....

I think all the EJs have 4 valves/cylinder, for a total of 16.
