Anyone fitted Koni to stock struts?

Featured Replies

Are there any pics or descriptions on something similar to putting Koni inserts into stock struts for - say - a '99-01 OBS?

Is it really difficult? Welding/machine shop required?

Here is a link to photos of a Koni install http://www.submariner.org/thepno95/Pictures/Subaru/Koni%20GC%20install/

There isn't a description of the process but I know I have seen a step by step process with photos on a webpage. If I can find it I will post it later. As I remember the process, you need a drill, grinder and/or good quality hacksaw. You will also need a spring compressor to remove the spring. If you are comfortable in removing/installing struts you should be able to handle the Koni install.

Thanx suby7. Just got a great email response from Wayne Chin - he has a nice OBS related site.

For info. to backup suby7's link, try;

http://www.druidhillroad.com/koni/

Also, Wayne says the AGX part numbers shown here;

http://www.coximport.com/agx/apps.html

WILL work for front and rear of the '93-'01 OBS. The KYB catalog I downloaded last night only shows fronts? Maybe an email to KYB is in order?

Wayne's site is at;
