for the few of you that have them, how are they for comfort? do they weigh less than the stock ones? are they adjustable? what kind? im looking at all the ones at the top page of ebay, and 200-3 and you can get 2 nice ones, shipped.

Hey arch i have been in alot of race seats in friends "rice rockets" Not comfortable at all really, but they are cool because they hug your body especially with 4 or 5 point harness belts. They mount pretty universally maybe some mod to make roo floor level, because bottom of racing seats mount flat. And they adjust forward and recline back and forward :cool: Hope this helps at all if any more Q's reply or email. Sean

I have a pair of Impeza RS seats in my Brat that are extremely comfortable and hold you in place. I would prefer them to the racing seats. That's how I lucked up and got them off Ebay because the man who bought the car was rallying it and pulled the seats out new. Just a few dollars over 300 with shipping. I have one 99 RS seat that is in good shape if you were interested, drivers side.

if i was going to use stock seats, i would use my xt6 seats. they are so nice compared to ea81 seats, but they weigh so much, and will require some welding for me to fit them in.

i sat in one of those dodge neon srt4 turbos, and they have racing seats from the factory. not fullon riced out ones, but very nice, thats what got me thinking. AXE seats are cheap as hell.

rs seats in the brat must take up alot of room in that little cab. how did you make them work? when i put prelude seats in my brat i just welded all 4 points to the floor and some cross brases.

Not really as much room as you would think. Two bolt holes line right up, the other two I just cut some 1/8 in flat metal tabs and drilled and bolted, app. 1-inch over. You can see them at http://www.webspawner.com/users/bratman2. Some racing seats can be pretty wide at the base. I would love to see a pair of xt seats as everyone raves about them but Subarus are not that common around here. We probably own a third in the whole county. I just can't see them comparing to new model RS or WRX seats.
