There is a cruise control switch like that on my 84 wagon. It is the on/off switch, and the set and resume control is on a lever on the right side of the steering wheel. (left hand drive models)

Well it isnt factory fit, so after market, does your car have the hazard light switch on the colomn, if not it might of replaced it, would be surprised if it didnt operate your hazard lights.

im just looking at my 1400 boucher ive got and there is an pic showing steering collum and it looks like it has the same shaped thing on it.

yep thats factory looking at drivers hand book and shows larger pic of it. still cant find out wat it does.

ok just found info on it. it ments to control instrument panel illumintion light. i dnt think its works tho

Just looking through my haynes manual, subaru 1100- 1600, page 124 it shows the switch and it calls it a illumination switch, what it alluminates i don't know.

that's the switch starter keys lighter.

Column light, '72-73 only...here.

the 2nd pic yes it does have.

 

in the manual it says

Door Lock=

Door locking pilot light.

with the iginition-stater switch is "ON"; the light glows when both left and right doors are not locked from the inside.

 

Window washer fluid quantity pilot light=

with the iginition-stater switch is "ON"; the light glows when the washer fluid quantity is less than 0.3L ( 0.63 pt. ).
