August 1, 200817 yr i cleaned the idle air control with sea foam, it was fine for about a week, now hi idle in park, and car is warmed up, ?? thanks
August 1, 200817 yr Make sure the cable is not tight on the throttle. You may have to clean the IAC again.
August 1, 200817 yr i was thinking temp sensor, as in it's dying but not dead. like when it warms up the resistants in the sensor changes back to what it is at cold and gives you a high idle. that was the first thing i thought of.
August 2, 200817 yr Idle switch in the Throttle Position Sensor. Easy to test if it is closed contact when the throttle is closed. +1 on checking the cable as well.
