Could you put me in touch with the individuals who built that transmission of yours? Would really be interested in buying a kit with neccesary parts to do this conversion to a US trans.....

do the impreza / legacy boxes fit the leone engine, you could go down that track.

the only people I know of that might have done this is UDY Motors, they may have an idea. Try this link for there number. talk to Ivan Udy

a friend had an ex factory, ex possum bourne RX Turbo rally car, a piece of art, and he rolled, bowled and a@#$#led it. I brought the box from him for $NZD600.00 The car had some great gear, and he parted it out...which was a real shame.

There was a 4.11 FT-D/R Leone tranny here a few years back. It was built by a shop in Colorado for MileHighSube(Think thats the name) from parts of a FT a D/R and Legacy trans. I can be done but I never got the name of the builder out of him. I don't think he's still on the board but someone might have a lead.

Yeah - I'm wanting to do this to a regular D/R 5 speed - not the FT version. I want the 1.45 low range rather than the 1.2. The 1.45 with 4.11 gears would make for a pretty good crawl ratio. Well - better than 3.9 anyway.
