OBDII Exhaust Question

Featured Replies

I am looking at getting a 99 RS and owner says it has a check engine light for an exhaust gasket leak. Will an exhaust gasket leak actually throw a check engine light?

obviously depends on what code it is, but I suppose having an exhauist leak before one of the O2 sensors would throw a code, yes. also would likely run very poorly. if you can get it, post the code up here...a lot of people say a lot of crazy stuff about their check engine light sometimes.

I will try and pull the code myself when I go to look at it to see what it actually is. I have an STi cat-back that will go on it if I get it so gasket will be replaced.
