September 3, 200817 yr A used 4" AA lift and a home brew 2" lift. If your looking to fit 27s then I would go with the 4" but if you got a good idea for you 2" and it will work well then go for it!! What would you do for the homeade lift?
September 3, 200817 yr Author 2" strut top lift in front and drop the X member a little. Then space the rear coils 2", or find longer ones that provide more travel like the air struts i ran on the the rear of the buggy.

I did a 3'' home built on my brat but is based on one from sjr but with a few differences. I used adjustable front struts and then spaced everything down but didn't drop the rear pumpkin as much but its a little different with the ea82 body style so good question? Which will give you more clearance and let you fit the big tires at the same time?!?!? That's what I would go with:headbang:
