September 16, 200817 yr i wanna lift my gl10 wagon. whats the cheapest but still reliable way to lift it??
September 16, 200817 yr A lot of it depends on your skill level, and if you have a welder plasma cutter , metal saw, it would be cheaper to bild your own kit, but easyer to go with a sjr lift, sjr does all the engineering for you , i had to calculate all the angles, it was kinda confusing and i had a lot of re dos too
September 16, 200817 yr Author im probably not good enough to build my own...but where can i get an sjr lift? and how much do they cost?
September 21, 200817 yr 86 honda accord springs in rear ford escourt spring in front put 215/70 R14 tires on DONE
September 21, 200817 yr 86 honda accord springs in rearford escourt spring in front put 215/70 R14 tires on DONE How much height is gained with accord and escort springs?
September 22, 200817 yr The Honda front springs lift the rear about 1.5". But as my mate found out the spring bottoms out before the bumps stop or shocker and can (did) push the bottom spring mount off its place on the shocker. And don't try and weld them back on..... First question I would ask is Why do you want a lift? Clearance, looks, to fit bigger tires, etc?
September 22, 200817 yr How much height is gained with accord and escort springs? i never did a measurement 2" is my guess & with big 14" tires about 3-3 1/2" Maybe. big 14" alone raised my loyale 1 1/2 ". (205/70R14) Stock wheels & Springs 205/70 R14 on stock springs i will do measurement after Springs have been changed.
September 22, 200817 yr Here is my black loyale with 215/70 R14 s and the Accord Spring on the back. Front is stock in this picture. Quite a Lift
September 25, 200817 yr Any idea what years will work for the spring donations? I don't want to be seen around Hondas and Escorts too much! Please post some pics of the Escort springs up front. Thanks.

October 5, 200817 yr SJR lifts is the way to go I got a 4inch and I can't wait to get it on my 87 gl wagon 2.2 motor yeah but add sjr lift with the springs. i need to put a EJ22 in my loyale. but first things first. make it road worthy
October 5, 200817 yr ok. measurements from ground to rearend. i thought they were stock tires: 8" cleareance from 195/75 R14 tires which raised it alone 1" so stock would be 7" Accord Springs 215/70 R14 Tires: 11 1/4" thats a 4 1/4" lift just springs & tires now add the sjr lift. 8 1/4" total.....
