November 17, 200817 yr Anyone else had trouble with the lower mounting stud on the car body for the liftgate prop rods pulling out of the metal?Is there an easy fix?
November 17, 200817 yr The ball joint ripped the metal and pulled out. That i havent seen before. Maybe talk to a body shop? nipper
November 18, 200817 yr Subaru issued a recall for that exact problem on 2002-2003 Impreza wagons. I'm not sure if the recall also covers Outbacks. It's recall #WVD-14. Edited November 18, 200817 yr by SubPar

November 18, 200817 yr I'd head to the dealer and speak with the service manager first. See what he says, then ask for the best way to contact SOA.
