blindrummer Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 i'm trying to replace my stereo in my EA81 1985 gl i need some wiring help two packages of wires come out the back of the stock clarion 285-1026-00 first has black, blue, red/blue, and red/green the second has black, gray, yellow, yellow/black, and yellow/red seems the speakers are all grounded together does this set up use the 12v constant and 12v ignition??? please help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

TheSubaruJunkie Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 If your replacement stereo doesn't use a common ground for the speakers, then I would recommend you run new wiring from the deck to the speaker. Its a pain in the arse, but really its the best way. You may also want to probe for a constant 12V and a switched 12V for your new stereo as well.
