December 6, 200817 yr I was thinking...could it be done and would it work?.......... Could you take the control arms, cv axles and hub assembly off of a Loyale/EA82 and fit them onto EA81 vehicle? If it would work, it would widen the front end a little which the EA81's definitely need, and would help fix any camber issue. And you could use the better cv axle!! I wasn't sure if this had been addressed before and or if anyone had attempted it. But It would be pretty cool! Thanks -Jason
December 7, 200817 yr it has been done,i cannot remember who at this moment.but it has been done.main concern was camber.........cheers, rbain
December 7, 200817 yr Author Right I figured it would camber the tire the other way. But right now on my brat I have a home made lift and adjustable EA82 struts, springs, and tops and my tires lean out at the top a little more than I would like them to. So I was thinking that this would correct it. But I want to know if It's a bolt on mod or if there are problems that would need to addressed to make it work.
December 7, 200817 yr well, it has to be the entire crossmember.not just the arms.that is the main issue.all of the front components have to be switched.so you would have to see if the strut rods will cross over. there are other things that come to mind, like length of the rods etc.........i dunno search for a-arms in the offroad section cheers, brain
December 7, 200817 yr Author Thanks Brian, I just went and did a search and yeah no real progress made! So I guess to do this it would entail a fair amount of work! So my qiestion now is what alternatives do I have? I would really like to correct the camber issue I have. Any ideas or anything that anyone has done to do this? Thanks again!
