How do I reset ECU 91 Lego?

Featured Replies

Just replaced leaking upper radiator hose, added pre-mixed coolant and the air has been purged from the coolant system, during purging process, CEL appeared. How do I retrieve the code and clear the ECU? Searches of this database couldn't find ecu code instructions.

New user just wants the CEL to go away.

From Legacy Central (they deal specifically w/the '90-94 Legacy):

You should also be able to just disconnect the negative battery cable for 1 hour, but not sure if this completely clears the codes or just resets the ECU (not the same thing).

Good luck!

Thanks for the information; I ended up disconnecting the battery and after about 1 hour, the CEL went away, and now the radiator cooling fans aren't running continuously and the engine stopped running rich.
