mitch184 Posted January 13, 2004 Share Posted January 13, 2004 I was trying to figure out how much of a pressure drop there is across the stock turbo setup. My boost gauge, which is plumbed directly into the intake, says that max boost is 7 psi. I was wondering what the wastegate is set to open at since the wastegate solenoid pulls a measurement directly from the turbo outlet. Just trying to see how efficient the stock setup is. Skip Posted January 13, 2004 Share Posted January 13, 2004 Mitch, everybody's will be different, unless they use the exact same IC setup as yours. If yours holds steady at 7 with the gauge Tee'd into the intake manifold, then move the gauge Tee to the nipple at the turbo outlet.
