Horiztal radiator

Featured Replies

Does the car need to be lifted to mount the radiator above the engine? Also how much did it cost to have the filler neck modified?Any thing else I should know?

EA81 or EA82?

On my '83 EA81. I took measurements one day. And it would seem with no lift and the stock aircleaner in place I could fit it where the spare tire used to be no problem. (I carry a full size where the rear seat used to be now)

Biggest thing would be plumbing it up and making a "just under" 90* neck for the cap. (The rad would be best at a slight angle if possible. Top high of course)

Something I should do as I bent the front "framerail" about at the front of the engine. May as well chop it off there.

On EA82's I can't say. I've heard that there is not enough room. But someone else with a EA82 would have to chime in on that.

On the buggyroo I mounted it where the spare tire was. It was a PITA to fill but worked fine. I would reccomend trying to find a thicker radiator that was not a long and tall. Im also 99% sure the hood, if there was one would not have closed.
