Check engine message comes on, stays around for awhile, then goes

off. Reading I got was PO115.

 

Anyone experience the same and can you tell me what you did to correct the problem?

The trouble code you have is a Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit code. This means the coolant sensor for the ECU has a problem in the circuit between the ECU and the sensor. It is pretty common for the connections at the sensor itself to get gummed up so I recommend you check that first in the hunt for the trouble. In case you aren't aware of it, that sensor is not the same as the one for the dash gauge. The CTS sensor you want to check has two leads going to it so look for that. I think it is located on near the top-front of the engine on the passenger side but I'm not sure of that.

i just changed mine today

 

its right under the aic valve... under the passenger side intake manifold... with a brown plug, screwed into the coolant return pipe...

 

tip: heat the car up to normal running temp, then let it cool down enough so u can touch that way u have a warm engine and the hoses u need to removed will come off easily

I did know what the code pertained to, but that's about all.

Somewhere, I saw where it said to repl. the throttle under the pass.

As one of you just changed his, what exactly did you change? Do I need

a new hose or a part of some kind, that's part of a hose? You meant to type,

under the a/c valve correct?

The code has nothing to do with the throttle sensor. You need to clean and check the connections to the CTS sensor. The location of the sensor was given in an earlier post, number 3.
