January 27, 200917 yr Anyone have access to a FSM and have the wiring for the power steering pump in a '91 XT6?
January 27, 200917 yr I have a supplement that I got with an incomplete 90 XT6 FSM set titled "XT-6 Electronic-Controlled Motor Drive Power Steering Service Manual Supplement" that has a schematic in it. If that sounds like it will work let me know and I can see that you get it. I can't scan it (scanner died) but I'm sure we can make something happen. Abe

Abe Works for me; I could copy it if you could send it; or buy it if necessary. I'm getting it for someone else and I'm a complete noob when it comes to the XT6
January 27, 200917 yr we have links to the complete XT FSM service manuals available free online over at Subaruxt.com
January 27, 200917 yr Author PM me an address and I will mail it to you tomorrow! If the guy who's looking for the wiring doesn't find it in the links, I'll take you up on that. Thank you. PM sent.
January 27, 200917 yr I'm the guy... I'm going to look through the links - thank you all for being so helpful.
January 27, 200917 yr http://mshoup.us/docs/fsm/EA82/88_XT/ Section 6.3, page 91 is the steering schematic. Let me know if that covers what you need and if so I will hold off on sending the supplement to Ed. If I don't hear back I will go ahead and send it.
January 29, 200917 yr I looked at the manuals online. They have most of the information that I needed... Since the pump will be retrofitted to a different car, I won't be able to wire all of the factory speed control settings, but hopefully I'll be able to get away with an external PWM. What does the extra manual contain? Also, does anyone know what makes the subaru cybrid fluid so special? Is it thicker or thinner than the typical dextron 2/3 used in other p/s systems? Next, do you think the subaru fluid would clog/mess up a honda steering rack, or that honda fluid would destroy the subaru pump?
