February 27, 200917 yr 1990 Legacy LS 5 speed well I have ask about my idle probs before. but this is new, so I noticed the idle jumps then dies if the speed of over 45 mph but it is under 45 the car will do fine. I can keep the car in gear and coast down to 45 then put it in neutral it will idle fine as long as it is under 45, but it is over 45 like coasting down hill and the speed is increasing from what ever speed above 45 the idle will jump then die, only when in neutral. The temp is normal, no idiot lights on. What is the deal?
March 3, 200917 yr You've got some sort of idle issue. I'd start by checking to make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks. You may need to clean/replace the IAC valve. Can you describe any other symptoms the engine may have. How does the engine run?
