March 1, 200917 yr does anyone know if struts from a newer legacy or any other subaru will fit on a 97 legacy sedan? i was looking for someone selling struts and perhaps springs on the various subaru message boards and i didnt see many posts for this year and model, so i was wondering if they make a difference... thanks!
March 4, 200917 yr Author alright, sounds good ive found that the bug eye wrx sedan struts and springs will fit on a 97 legacy. so im open to that idea. but i guess i would prefer decently new 97 legacy struts. so if anyones selling....
March 4, 200917 yr I just purchased new monroe struts for my OBW off amazon.com. They were 75 bucks each delivered. If I had to do over I would have had a shop press them on and off. Took me one day to get it done.
March 5, 200917 yr You can probably go newer for the front, but for the rear I don't think anything newer than model year 98 will fit as in '99 I believe the rear went to mulitlink suspension which is completely different from the mcpherson setup.
