A friend of mine has a 95 impreza 1.8 auto. He says he cant shift it out of park. I told him about the lock override. Is it the same for an Impreza? I don't know much about Impreza's. I've only had one and I sold about 3 weeks after I got it. He also said he thinks his starter is bad. I have a starter for a 96 legacy 5speed. Any chance that will fit?

I was pondering this today. He said both problems happened at the same time. Ground issue maybe??
