I have a 88 wagon with the single port fuel injection it runs great but when the motor cold the high idle won't kick in it idles at about 500rpm and is hesitant. Once it warms up it idles at 700 to 750rpm and no hesitation. Can anyone help.

Check the ECU for trouble codes. The LED is under the steering wheel, under a plastic panel (removable)
