opelsuby Posted March 19, 2009 Share Posted March 19, 2009 Hey guys. I just received a new blower resistor in the mail. There is some grey schtuff on the coils that I assume is normal. ivantruckman Posted March 19, 2009 Share Posted March 19, 2009 the grey stuff is a ceramic paint to keep the coils from shorting together ,thus decreasing the coils resistance. it doesn't necessarily need to go all the way across, unless its real broken up, do you have a pic.? bobaru Posted March 21, 2009 Share Posted March 21, 2009 I got one from a nieghbor that has no paint on one of the three coils. ?1 is it useable of couse it is but for how long?--- guess please ?2 is there any way to repaint it? if so were do we get the stuff to fix it?
