new wagon, new problems (shifter and super hard start)

Featured Replies

just picked up my shiny (sort-of) new GL-10 turbo with a 5spd push bttn from a loyale in it. aside from a crushed velvet interior..... shudder......

the only real problems are that it is really hard to start have to try for about a minute or two then finally sputters to life.

(guy said it was the o2 sensor its a 3 wire..... and that caused the problem)

any ideas

other is that in gear i have about 3 inches of slop either way. it seriously is just like nuetral in MY loyale so i know i need bushings. where can i get a set cheap (all i can find is newer model ones)

any help on these would be nice will post pics tommorow

The pushbutton trans is probably the original. If it was from a Loyale it would be a 3.9 ratio., GL-10s all got the single range if they were manual.

Anyhow, bushings i'd order from a dealer, or 1stsubaru, etc...

It should not have a 3wire o2 sensor unless it is a california model. An d that shouldn't have anything to do with the starting.

My bet is on the Coolant temo sensor for starting issue. Back of intake, passenger side, tan connector, 2 wire.

it was an auto GL10, got the trans and rear end and axles from a loyale.
