Technically, it's roadworthy until 1/2005. Thankfully, it was exempt from emissions testing since it's 25 or more years old.

My '78 is exempt too,yeehaa...and I was lucky enough to take advantage of CT's bungling DOT policies and my '78 never even needed safety inspection.I'm quite sure it'd pass emmisions no problem.But you never know what kind of weasel you get at a safety inspection.They can make your day go bad in a minute.
