EA81 engine

I'm trying to get my oil pump off to replace it and the alternator pulley is in the way and turning the nut results in the flywheel turning.

Any tricks to get this off ???????

You can use a LARGE flat screwdriver inserted into the timing sight port (on the belhousing) to lock the starter ring on the flywheel so that it can't turn. Two person job.

Or a nice strong pin punch inserted in the hole in the flywheel through the timing hole. Just don't break it off or drop it into the bellhousing...that would suck.

Also, there are some holes drilled in the flywheel that you can stick a screwdriver into through that opening
